The 2007 AVIVA-COFCO China Badminton Masters is an event that promises Chengdu fans the most exciting sporting action by world-class badminton players from across the globe. As the title sponsor for this prestigious event, we are delighted that the event has progressed to become one of the 12 “Super Series” sanctioned by World Badminton Federation. It means that even more players including Chinese shuttlers will be able to make their mark in the international badminton scene. As one of the Super Series, the 2007 AVIVA-COFCO China Badminton Masters will also offer qualifying points to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. To the benefit of avid badminton fans in Chengdu, this Super Series will witness the best international players vying for valuable Olympic points as they compete against potential Olympic opponents. Given the widespread popularity of badminton and China’s prestigious ranking, there is no doubt that the China Badminton Masters is one of China’s top sports.
